African American Baptist Mission Collaboration (AABMC), Now NBCA Men on A Mission

Overview: The AABMC was formed in February 2010 and is a partnership of five Baptist communities representing more than 40,000 churches and more than 10 million Christians nationwide, most of whom are of African American heritage.

Benefits to NBCA Members: This initiative allowed for historically African American Baptist to Collaborate to raise $1,000,000 that was donated to Habitat for Humanity to begin providing both temporary and permanent housing for people in Haiti devastated by the Earthquake of 2010. This was an opportunity for our local churches to extend her witness to our brothers and sisters in Haiti. As a result of this collaboration, NBCA has developed an ongoing project called NBCA Men on a Mission. Men are traveling there each year for one week to focus on rebuilding Haiti. There is never less than 15 men involved in this program.
